Raw Attitude Podcast Episode 17: "Raw" Finally Beats "Nitro" in the Ratings!

April 13th, 1998: After an 84-week losing streak, "Raw" finally defeats "Nitro" in The Monday Night Wars, so we had to have Andy, Adam, and Jason from The Questionable Endeavor Network on the show to discuss this monumental event! "Stone Cold" Steve Austin wants to defend his WWF Title live on "Raw," and he hand-picks his opponent to be.......... Vince McMahon. The Undertaker sends a message to Kane by beating up several jobbers, but will it be enough to lure The Big Red Machine into a face-to-face confrontation? Faarooq calls out the entire Nation of Domination, but this time he has some friends to watch his back. Owen Hart goes one-on-one with Billy Gunn in a match which is thankfully given quite a bit of TV time. Terry Funk needs a new tag team partner now that Cactus Jack has hung up his boots, so he introduces us to someone who will "put Funk in our faces." The New Midnight Express take on the bad-ass dream team of Ken Shamrock & Steve Blackman, with the highlight being a pre-match stare-down between Shamrock and Dan Severn. Luna Vachon cuts a bonkers promo where she references having her period for some reason, and then she challenges Sable to face her tonight instead of waiting for "Unforgiven." Jeff Jarrett squares off with Taka Michinoku as leaflets advertising his upcoming concert fall from the sky. Skull & 8-Ball take on Savio Vega & Jesus Castillo in a Chain Match while D-Generation-X lurks at ringside. Plus, we go on the set with Val Venis, a long-time veteran wrestles his final match on "Raw," and a chair magically walks all by itself!
