January 18th, 1999: The Rock intentionally screwed Kane out of the WWF Title last week, so Commissioner Shawn Michaels has ordered "The Great One" to face "The Big Red Machine" tonight. WWF Champion Mankind faces The Big Boss Man in a non-title Hardcore Rules Match where Mick Foley once again takes several unnecessarily brutal bumps. Chyna has a busy night ahead of her as she not only finds the time to humiliate Mark Henry in an infamous segment, but she also later faces Pat Patterson & Gerald Brisco in a Handicap Match. WWF Hardcore Champion "The Road Dogg" Jesse James puts his belt on the line against Gangrel in a match featuring a table which refuses to break. Billy Gunn steps into the ring with Test, who is sporting a ridiculously goofy t-shirt. Al Snow goes one-on-one with Goldust in a match where the winner gains custody of Head. After a surprising heel turn on "Heat" eight days ago, Dan "The Beast" Severn returns to the ring to face his former friend Steve Blackman. Shane McMahon continues to train Vince for The Royal Rumble, this time inside of an actual wrestling ring instead of in the snow. Plus, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin returns to his home-state, Sable graces us with perhaps the worst run-in of all-time, and The Undertaker promises that another sacrifice is coming!

Other, Others', Hes' and Shes', welcome to Episode 49 of the Reanimetor Pod. This week Taka and Yata get together to discuss episodes seven to nine of 'Land of the Lustrous' as the guys break #deepthings as they wrestle with concepts such and time and self and how they are applicable to Phos journey throughout the series. All that and so much more this week on the ‘Reanimetor Pod’ Scraw!!!
January 11th, 1999: In his first promo since winning the WWF Title last week, Mankind duels on the mic with The Rock as the former champ tries to talk Mick Foley into a rematch at the "Royal Rumble." However, Mankind may not even make it that far because Vince McMahon forces him to defend his belt tonight on "Raw" against Kane. And speaking of The McMahons, Shane announces a very special main event for tonight's show: a Corporate Royal Rumble pitting members of The Corporation against members of DX, with the winner being awarded the #30 position in the Royal Rumble match. In what is likely one of the most bizarre segments in the history of the WWF/E, The Undertaker returns after a month-long absence to perform an unholy ritual on Dennis Knight. Triple-H steps into the ring with Edge in a match which we surprisingly only end up getting a handful of times over the next 12 years despite both men's lengthy tenures with the company. As a counterpunch to Tony Schiavone's "butts in seats" line from "Nitro" last week, we get introduced to the legendary character who is simply known as..... Gillberg. The New Age Outlaws face Jeff Jarrett & Owen Hart, with the winning team earning the right to become the #1contenders for the WWF Tag Team Titles. Val Venis sets his sights on a lovely young woman in the crowd, but he gets more than he bargained for when it turns out that he's attempting to seduce the sister of a fellow wrestler. Because D'Lo Brown was somewhat responsible for causing her miscarriage last week, Terri Runnels forces D'Lo to fight his own best friend: Mark Henry. X-Pac puts his European Title on the line against the newly Head-less Al Snow. Plus, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin continues to wreak havoc, Chyna's friend Sammy is still hanging around, and Shane helps Vince train for the Royal Rumble by having him chase a chicken in the snow!
Meanwhile over on "Nitro," WCW follows up their "Fingerpoke of Doom" episode with three hours of television that are somehow even worse than last week's show! Enjoying the Podcast? Onto episode 3 of our Star Wars: Edge of the Empire campaign, using the Fantasy Flight Games books and system. The gang must decide whether or not to tell Nuttaboo some very sensitive info....so important that Doma risks interrupting her bath time. No one wants to see that...
They trek over to Nuttaboo's brother's territory on a secret mission that may grant them their freedom from this hellhole of a planet, but something is waiting in the darkness underground, capable of surviving the most dreadful environments, even a sewer full of Hutt waste. Apparently Lal is a super loud snorer, we establish that Gand’s don’t have longs and there can’t snore.
Borb gets an offer from the scientist our adventurers rescued for 10,000 credits, a big chunk of the 80,000 our group owes to Nuttaboo the Hutt. We have to track down her assistant, Toran, who has stolen some top secret research from her. Nuttaboo is pissed at some flyby’s that were sent by her brother and orders us to infiltrate the fort and take off with some his ships if possible.
The group has a quandary…..will they take the higher paying gig and risk pissing off Nuttaboo or will they tow the line and slowly but surely pay of their debt. Hmmm….tough call.
