The Raw Tag Team division has a lot of issues. Before I give you what can be done to help, let’s give the rundown:
The New Day
The New Day have been Champs for almost 400 days. The New Day beat The Prime Time Players, The Lucha Dragons and Los Matadores to win the belt. None of those teams are currently together (Kayfabe muthafucka!). After that, they beat The Dudley Boyz (now retired….kinda), The Usos (now on SmackDown Live), The Lucha Dragons (split via brand extension), The League of Nations (1/2 are gone from the company), The VaudeVillians (SmackDown Live), The Wyatt Family (SmackDown Live), Enzo and Cass, and The Club. Only two teams that they have beat are still on RAW and an active team. The New Day have continued to be pushed at the expense of everyone else.
The Club (Gallows and Anderson)
The Club were reverted to Vince McMahon’s court jesters until last Monday when they were returned to ass kickers. Time will tell if they remain that way (they should). The Club really got boned by the brand extension, and it appears that WWE has squandered a chance to really cash in on The Club.
Enzo Amore and Big Cass
Enzo and Cass are over, but they are stuck in a feud that few people care about because WWE wanted to keep The New Day away from Enzo and Cass so as not to split the crowd. Enzo and Cass need to be going for the belts after they are done with The Shining Stars.
The Shining Stars
Primo and Epico have been in WWE for a long time. They are former Tag Team champions, but they have gone through so many different gimmicks (as well as names) that people don’t really care about them anymore. The only thing that could save them is if Carlito was their mouth piece.

How to fix the Division:
We need some new teams. I think that The Revival would do better on SmackDown Live, but adding them to Raw would be good. The Revival are smaller, more technical versions of The Club, but they would offer Enzo and Cass as well as The New Day more heel teams to face.
DIY would be another great addition to the division. Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano are heading to RAW as part of the Cruiserweight Division, but I don’t see how they couldn’t pull double duty here. Adding Sami Zayn and Neville as a team could be really interesting. They would have a Tyson Kidd/Cesaro type feel to them. Jinder Mahal and Curtis Axel would be at least a good enhancement talent team and would give them both something to do.
The biggest thing that needs to change is the team on top. It’s time for The New Day to drop the titles and to let a few other teams get time at the top to get the division over.
Drop a comment below to tell me how you would fix the division.
