Gather ‘round boys and girls and listen to my tale.
There was once a preacher and his disciples. The preacher was something that the masses had not seen in a long time. The preacher and his disciples laid waste to everyone. The preacher and his disciples then began to reach the greater masses.
At the beginning, the preacher and his disciples struck fear into the hearts of the masses and began to gain a following. Before the preacher could crest the hill and reach the pinnacle, he fell into an open grave and right into a coffin. His disciples tried to pull him free, but foes from all around began to shovel dirt into the open grave.
Thump, thump, thump. The disciples and the preacher continued to be vanquished. The preacher had promised that he would change his foes whether they were defeated or not. His foes did not change. They did not leave any different from when they arrived.
The masses began to lose faith in their preacher, and the disciples began to grow weary. More dirt was thrown on the coffin, and the disciples abandoned their leader. The preacher was no longer scary. He was no longer a threat.
The preacher attempted to change his vestments, but he was still the same on the inside. The masses had already lost interest, and the undefeated foes had lost interest.
Then the preacher met a demon who had gone down the same path. A demon that was once feared, was once a threat, but now was nothing. The demon defeated the preacher, and with that, the last shovelful of dirt was laid on the preacher’s coffin.
A once promising man was laid to rest at Backlash.
Rest in peace, Bray.
