It is WrestleMania weekend, baby! That means everyone on every roster bringing their absolute best to the table! Will NXT once again outshine the main roster using less than half the amount of airtime? Let's find out!
Sanity v. Team Dillinger
The in-ring debut of Ruby Riot and it's in the opening contest. Expect big things here.
Grade: A, a fantastic showcase for everyone involved. Surprised that the faces lost and that it was Dillinger who took the fall.
Cien Almas v. Aleister Black
Another debut, Black should actually win here, though.
Grade: A, Aleister Black will be WWE Champion one day. That was awesome.
NXT Tag Team Championships: The Revival v. #DIY v. Authors of Pain (c), Triple Threat Elimination Match
If I had the book DIY would leave with the belts.
Grade: A, obviously I don't have the book, but that may be the greatest match I've ever seen
NXT Women's Championship: Ember Moon v. Asuka (c)
Tonight Ember reigns supreme
Grade: B, and not because Ember lost. I just felt there was something missing. Maybe it's because the previous match was so good. Hard to say.
NXT Championship: Shinsuke Nakamura v. Bobby Roode (c)
Can you imagine entering a room to over 14,000 people singing a song written just for you?
Grade: A, As expected, these two men absolutely killed it.
Average Grade: A-
- Nice Package: The opening video, with the historical footage leading into the match promos, gave me goosebumps. Awesome
- Make an entrance: Aleister Black's entrance is fucking BAD ASS
Final Grade: A+(+), with the extra credit we finish with a GPA of 4.8, which makes this show the highest-scoring Making the Grade ever, and likely a score that will not be beaten. They gave it their all in their "return home" and it showed. NXT absolutely killed it this time.
We'll be back in, let's say, about 8 hours with WrestleMania 33!
